A shooting that killed two white men in a white house in Washington, D.C., is drawing criticism from both sides of the political spectrum.
The incident began when police were called to a residence in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 11:30 p.m. local time (1:30 a.m., ET).
The suspects were believed to be in the residence when they were killed.
“We don’t know exactly what happened,” a source told The Washington Post.
“But we do know that two black males died.”
The Washington Police Department told ABC News that officers were dispatched to the address after receiving a report of a “domestic disturbance.”
Police arrived at the address and found the suspects dead inside the home.
The two black suspects, James Jackson and Jermaine Lee Hill, had been shot in the head and face.
Hill was a 28-year-old from the South Side of Chicago who was arrested at his home on Friday.
Jackson was an 18-year old from the St. Louis suburb of Rockford, Illinois.
Both men were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Jackson and Hill are the second and third black men to be shot dead in the United States this year, according to police. “
