More than half of the Madrid squad is not fit, but the side still have a strong chance of being promoted from the second division in two weeks time.

The first team’s Champions League group games have been postponed, but Real have still qualified from the last four and are just four points behind leaders Barcelona.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will be in charge of the team for the second leg in Paris, but coach Pep Guardiola is also expected to make an appearance.

The game will be played at the Stade de France and the Bernabeu, where Messi is expected to return from injury.
