The next time you need a new Mac Pro, there are a few options to consider.
Apple has announced that it will be launching a new line of Mac Pros at the beginning of April, with an expected retail price of $1,199.
Apple will also be releasing its own Mac Pro line at the same time, starting at $1/£899, which will include a new Intel Core i5-6600U and a faster 8GB RAM.
Both new models will have 4K video and up to 1TB of SSD storage, both of which will be available in a range of capacities.
They will also come with up to six Thunderbolt 3 ports, USB-C, and a 13-inch Retina Display.
Apple’s Mac Pro announcement will likely come as a surprise to most people, but it is a welcome one, especially given that Intel has been pushing Mac Pro in a very different direction.
Intel has not been particularly vocal about its plans for the new Macs in recent years, and there has been no official word on when it might make its way into the mainstream market.
